New In Colours

ORNATE FLOWERS

Here are 2 quick cards I made using the Stamp Set Ornate Flowers and the new DSPaper Pack in the New In Colours cobined with In Colours textured card stock, For the first one again I took inspiration from the new Ideas Book and Catalogue and cut the card Base from Textured Card in Pear Pizzazz next quite simply cut strips of the beautiful papers added a whisper white strip and stamped happy birthday (from Occassional Greetings Set).  Inked my stamp with Stampin write markers, Pear Pizzazz and Concord Crush and punched out with 13/4" circle punch.

For card 2 I used Card Stock Crumb Cake and Pacific Point, punched scalloped edge with new scallop edge punch, Inked stamp with Pacific Point Ink onto crumb cake, stamped in crumb cake ink down the side, Using Oval All Set I stamped thank you in Paciffic Point Ink and punched with scallop oval punch, last but not least I popped on one of the new Rinestones for a bit of bling.

Sometimes we need a quick card which I think this particular set is just perfect for and these two designs were very quick to do also great for doing batch makes for thank you's or just stock cards for that occassion we forgot about!.

NOTEABLY ORNATE

I took my inspiration for this card from the New Ideas Book and Catalogue using another new stamp set Noteably Ornate and I think this is my second favourite stamp set.  I used Baja Breeze, Early Espresso and Whisper White Card, Ink Early Espresso, Baja Breeze and Pacific Point.  The main image is stamped on wet water colour paper with Baja Breeze and then over stamped with Pacific Point.  I then added Early Espresso Grosgrain ribbon and clip.

ARTISTIC ETCHINGS

Hellooooooo

I know long time no see!!! Just when I thought I was on top of things my computer decided it wasn't going to play and consequently gave up altogether.  I have only just got it back from the "puter" doctor.
Anyway enough of that I have been busy with workshops and making samples, even if I couldn't post them so here is the first one.
This card I have made with my new all time favourite stamp set from the New Stampin' Up! Catalogue - Artistic Etchings which I have in the new unmounted version which I am liking a lot even though I am a wooden stamp kinda girl at heart, these new unmounted ones really are going to save space which means ......... yes we can have more stash for our crafting - result don't you think!! :-() lol.

Using new colours Early Espresso for the main card I folded this into an Easel Style and layered Baja Breeze and one of the new In Colours Pear Pizzazz. I stamped the Baja Breeze panel in same colour Ink with two of the stamps making one fade right into the background by using second stamping, not sure if this is showing up in the picture very well.
I also got to play and get inky fingers which I love to do, using the new DSPapers Newsprint I stamped and inked the panel with Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz (new In Colour) using the round medallion type stamp in Artistic Etchings set, also with a finger dauber I smudged Crumb Cake over the DSP and around the torn edges which gave the result I was after - a distressed piece of old newspaper.  Using same stamp from set, I also did same on separate Newsprint DSP and punched out with Scalloped Circle and 1/2" circle Punch and scrunched them up and layered with a New Flower Brad in the centre.  The Eiffel Tower is then stamped onto the panel in Basic Black. The ribbon is the gorgeous new Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon.

For the panel at the base of the card I used same as for main card, stamping congratulations (from Stamp Set Noteably Ornate - I will be back to post card I made with this set later!) onto whisper white in Baja Breeze and rubbing crumb cake all over to grunge it up before punching out with the new Modern Label Extra Large punch, layered this onto pear pizzazz and cut around leaving a small margin, it is such an easy shape to cut around to get this effect.

ARTISTIC ETCHINGS

I expect you have all been browsing the new catalogue today, one of the new stamp sets Artistic Etchings P64 was one I knew I just had to have! I ordered the unmounted set which comes in a dvd style box , now I love my wood mounted stamp sets but just thought I would try the new ones out and I wasn't disappointed, the red rubber is of the same quality as in all Stampin' Up Stamps just means we can have more stamps in our stash as they take up less room - result!!!!  LOL.

Here is my first project using my favourite stamp set (at the moment hee  hee) Artistic Etchings page 64, which I covered an On Board Journal 5x5 Art Journal  (Page87) I just love these journals.
I used New DSP Newsprint p91, Basic Black and Very Vanilla are the two choices of double sided paper 2 sheets of each which is good so you always have one to keep!! New Ribbon 3mm Taffeta Basic Black; Card I used is Basic Black and Real Red and Very Vanilla.

I stamped the Real Red card  in Real Red ink , stamping the same design onto Very Vanilla in Basic Black Ink and using the Scallop Circle punch to go behind the words which I punched out with the Oval and Scallop Oval Punches. DSP was the same piece using both sides I punched a Scallop Edge and layered with the bold print side of the same piece and Basic Black Card.  Ribbon tied in knots at front and around the ring binders.

I think I may fill the pages with images from this set mmmmmm come back and have another peek later

Trees for Christmas

A quick post to show a quick card I made a while ago with one of my favourite sets Lovely as a Tree and thankfully it is not retiring as I would be very sad to see this set go. Unfortunately the sentement is a retiring Hostess set, and the bordering blue and brocade blue used in the sky are also retiring colours.
There are some fab new colours to replace these and tomorrow sees the launch of the New Catalogue filled with gorgeousness - I'm so excited can't wait to place my order tomorrow.

I used the direct to paper method for the top half of card for the sky and left bottom half white for snow, stamped the trees added the ribbon Glitter and sentiment, also "snow" was added to the branches with SU white gel pen and my first Christmas card for this year was made this is very simple to make if you are batch making your christmas cards.

Items used: Card night of navy, ballet blue(retiring), whisper white, Inks night of navy, bordering blue, brocade blue (both retiring), Glitter dazzeling diamonds, Ribbon night of navy, sentement Hostess set retiring

Until tomorrow when I will be posting the new catalogue details and more!
