3 Steps to Christmas

Oh My! these titles are getting worse - sorry they just come to me when I start typing lol ;-()

This post is Spooky too - you will have to read on to find out why!!

I have been playing around with step cards for a while and decided to make a Christmas themed one but fancied different colours to the norm. After searching through my DSP I came across Spiced Cider (retired now worst luck love it) and my choice of Stamp set was Season of Joy. Well I finished it yesterday and just didn't have time to post it. Now here's the spooky part - When I logged on there was a post from Sue over at Ink Spot for the Tanda Challenge and yes you have guessed it the challenge is a step card - well you could have knocked me down with a feather and the question I ask is "are we telepathic Sue"?! So I have just had to join in - would have been rude not too. Here is my creation.

Lovely as a 'Christmas' Tree

I took inspiration for this card from the Catalogue and Idea Book and turned it into a Christmas card. My idea was to take a stamp set that wasn't christmas and alter it!! I am pleased with the way it turned out and I demonstrated this card last night to the ladies from the NWR as in last post. I used glitter on the Fir Tree - card on right but thats not showing up on photo!

Ingredients
div>Card on right
Stamp Set Lovely as a Tree; Stamps used: pine cone and branch on main card; row of trees and fir tree
Card Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery Very Vanilla; Ink Old Olive, Chocolate Chip; Distressing Tool; Dazling Diamonds glitter
Card on left

Card Chocolate Chip, Old Olive,Very Vanilla; DSP Merry Moments; Distressing Tool

HO! HO! HO!

I am feeling festive - I met a lovely group of ladies (helloooo if you've popped by) last night from the local branch of the NWR who had invited me to Demonstrate, we had great fun making Christmas cards and we laughed a lot, tea and Stollen cake was served in the break; coupled with the Christmas songs that were playing on the radio yesterday as I preped for the demo has made me feel very festive. So I have given my blog a Christmas makeover and hung up the decorations!! lol. Will add some photo's later when I have more time.
by for now

I'm back and here are the cards the ladies were making last night - I kept the designs simple for first time stampers.

Christmas Star

Phew another post; here is a Starbook I made recently for a Christmas Decoration, I love making Mini Books and usually they contain pictures of my Grandson - he is sooooo cute; well I would say that wouldn't I!! Anyway I thought I would make this as a Christmas Decoration which I can get out each year. I have used retired papers from the I wish Simply Scrapping Set (needed to use up the bits) and yes my favourite stamp set Winter Post, also Tree Trimmings Set and Dazzling Diamonds glitter - photos could be better sorry; sun was shinning (showing all the dust) so I quickly grabbed camera to make use of the light as it has been so gloomy for taking photos lately. Will try and load them in order for you! If you click on photo's you will get bigger picture.

Happiness is an ATC

Here is an ATC I made after the Birthday card using all the bits I had made and I used the New Butterfly punch too; I love this and it will be so useful - is anyone else into ATC's would love to hear from you I am totally addicted!! lol:-)

Receipe Challenge on SWU - Birthday Card

Have just made this card for my friends Birthday she and her husband now live in Ireland and are coming to vist today so only quick post. I will have a house full until Monday as my friend who recently lost her husband is also coming over along with her daughter and new husband they got married 6 weeks before her dad died, which was why we were all in such a state of shock. They are bringing their Wedding Album for us to see - have stocked up on tissues it will be very emotional.

I used 2 DSP from Tea and Crumpets on the main panel I distressed the edges with the tool from the cutter kit, also the strip of white card accross centre; punched flowers from the second paper; Stamped the Florish from Season of Joy on main panel and also inside the card.

I have a few other things to post that I have made recently may only be pictures with details as I'm rushing to get these posted before the mad house begins!! Have nice weekend.
