A quick post today to show you a Fathers Day card and gift bag I made for my grandson to give to daddy, I gave it too him last night and his face was just one big smile he is only five but he loves my cards and can't wait for daddy to have a special one - that's what he calls them - ah bless him he is so gorgeous but then I'm biased anyway lol. Hope he doesn't open pressy himself!!!!!!

This was a quick and simple card using punches for embelishments. I inked the edges for a more rustic look. The bag stamps were background stamp Sanded and Occasional Greetings. Below are pictures of the gift bag and everything together.

Happy Birthday.....

Just a quick post, it is sooooo hot in my craft room - phew,  I wanted to show you the box in a bag I made for a friends significant birthday in a few days, I made the card a while ago and I have made the box in the bag to match, I altered it slightly to fit the pressy  - Bella Bleu Designer Papers were used for the bag as I wanted a kraft colour, I sat in the garden under the shade of a tree making it while enjoying this glorious weather.   The pictures below show the finished bag and also card to match and if you keep scrolling you will see which significant birthday is being celebrated - she will kill me for adding the badge - but it just has to be done don't you agree. lol :-)

Rock and Roll Vintage Vogue

Using Stamp Set Vintage Vogue (I know, but it is my favourite ever SU set) I have used the Rock and Roll technique.  This technique is very simple you ink up your stamp in a lighter colour first and then you take the stamp and rock it over a darker colour Ink Pad,  I told you it was easy.

Now over at Stamp with Us they have a colour challenge so I thought I would join in and challenge myself with these colours

I stamped the flowers out twice once in the main colours Lovely Lilac, Real Red and YoYo Yellow and secondly in
Yoyo Yellow and then rocked the stamp onto the Lovely Lilac and Real Red this give a very pleasing edging to the flowers and it is upto you how much you add. I also used Green Galore for the foliage.  I think you will agree this gives a totally different look to Vintage Vogue Stamp Set.
Ingredients- all Stampin' Up!
Vintage Vogue Stamp Set, Ink and Card in Lovely Lilac,Real Red, Yoyo Yellow, Green Galore  and Whisper White. Ribbon Red Gingham, Brads soft subtles.

Vintage Vogue

My latest stamp set from Stampin' Up! is Vintage Vogue and today is the first time I have time to play, and I just love the versatility of this set now I can do distressed without even trying - whooo hooo. :-)

I have made this card for a friends Birthday it is a big one!!! so I thought make it girly and pink and no mention of age - I would like her to still be a friend; LOL.
Colours used are Kraft, Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip, phew, this seems like a lot of colours I know, Creamy Caramel & Blush Blossom were used to sponge over Whisper White card and I used the Very Vintage wheel that matches this stamp set with Pretty in Pink Ink. The wheel gives you a vintage look without trying it is FAB.  The Flower was stamped onto same background with Close to Cocoa and inked petals with Chocolate Chip, all edges were sponged with Close to Cocoa. The Ribbon is Kraft

I have also joined in the SWU challenge which is Birthdays with this card too, happy crafting
